Of all the Ford dealers in St. Louis, only one has STs. One Focus and one Fiesta.

I guess STs aren't just something dealers stock. They aren't exactly hot sellers, at least compared to other trim levels on the Focus and Fiesta.

Another observation, there are way more sedan Foci and Fiestas than hatches on lots. Meh.

Semiunrelated: Whilst at the car show today I sat in a FiST - cool, but I can see that the seats were made for someone less asseous than I; I'd probably push the bolsters out within a week, or so...

Anything that small usually doesn't look good as a sedan, but American consumers prefer sedans, which is strange.

Unfortunately, in the states there is a stigma against hatchbacks. I know of coworkers who view them as one of the lowest forms of personal transportation. Ironically they drive CUVs.

When I picked up my Mustang at Crossroads Ford they had two FiSTs and not a single FoST, and this is a dealer with 600ish cars in stock.

The new F-150's are already arriving at my dealerships. Really odd to see them first here than in the US (I went this last December).

The live up to everything except fuel economy IMO. Which I know is a *big* thing in the whole scheme of things, but something I actually don't care about. Actually, fuel economy is something I wouldn't even consider when buying a new car.

I also didn't consider it as something that mattered too much. Then, got the delicious surprise of getting +40 MPG on mixed driving and tanks that lasted 2 weeks.

I ordered mine in July, got it in October. The build date was in September. That was the earliest they could do.

They are hot sellers. They aren't on the lots because they sell fast.

None of the cars at my house have ever gotten better than 25 highway, and so far, the Fusion isn't either. My van gets 11, my dad's Silverado probably gets 15-17. We just don't buy fuel efficient cars.

I think I have only seen 3-4 Focus ST s in the STL area. Don't think I have seen a fiesta ST yet.

None of the cars in the household exceed those numbers as well. A Ford V8, a Toyota 4.0L and a 5 cylinder Jetta.

I'm not sure about the Fiesta ST, but the reason there are so few Focus ST cars available right now is because the 2014 models have been out of production for a couple of months and the 2015 models aren't due to arrive for a few more weeks.
